5 ways to enhance your mobile marketing this summer

When is the last time you've received a text, Whatsapp message, phone call or read an email on your mobile phone?

Are you thinking of new ways to reach your audience? As a small business owner, I would recommend you consider how you're using your mobile phones and mobile marketing as part of your growth strategy.

Below is a list of ways you can use mobile marketing to grow your startup business and engage with more mobile users:

  1. How might you use SMS text marketing or Whatsapp or virtual community groups?
    Why not implement SMS marketing campaigns to reach out to your audience directly. Send promotions, discounts, and time-sensitive offers via text messages to boost engagement and drive sales.There are many alternatives to traditional text and Whatsapp groups now, including online communities via mobile apps. Consider your audience for mobile messaging and instant messaging or broadcasts carefully.
  2. Do you have a mobile-optimised website?
    Ensure that your website is fully optimised for mobile devices, offering a seamless and user-friendly experience to visitors on smartphones and tablets. In what ways can your website improve?
  3. Do you curate mobile-optimised content?
    Try to ensure that all of your content, including blog posts, articles, and videos, is optimised for mobile viewing, making it easier for users to consume and share your content. At a minimum, do you include 'share' 'embed' and 'follow' buttons on your content?
  4. Are you using QR Codes?
    We've all scanned a QR code or two, especially since the pandemic. If you implement QR codes in your marketing materials, it will allow users to quickly scan and access promotions, discounts, or additional information. For clients on a budget I always recommend a QR code to an online brochure over printing costs!
  5. Do you have mobile-friendly social media?
    Optimise your social media content for mobile consumption, as a significant portion of social media users access platforms through mobile devices. How are you formatting posts and what kind of layout and content are you using?
