Marketing Monitoring For Success
I wanted to share something if you have developed an offer this year that has been successful, or if you've developed an offer that has completely flopped: Marketing is about testing what works and what needs to be improved. Your marketing will need reviewing and tweaking to improve your results over time. So, knowing this, why are so many of us reluctant to be honest with ourselves and audit what we are doing? Keeping track of our results helps us make informed decisions.Doing the same thing repeatedly and not seeing results is insane. When was the last time you reviewed your marketing activities? You will never know for yourself if you don't try new tactics or approaches. If you are trying to develop an offer but the offer is not landing, it could be for several reasons - and I speak as someone who has had a few offers over the years that have done well and also a few that have yet to do as well!
Here's what some business owners do not consider important, which can ruin the success of a marketing campaign or sales offer.-
KNOWING YOUR AUDIENCE. And I'm not talking about imaginary avatars! Only create an offer once you know who is likely to buy it! Then, determine if those people are already in your online and offline community. Manage your own expectations on this one, as if you need to attract an audience, you may need to run Facebook ads or work even harder to achieve fantastic reach organically.
- PRICING. Because sometimes the price IS right but being promoted to the wrong audience. Or, the right audience feels your price is too much or too little. Test and see. Do your research.
- GOOD TIMING. Understand that timing is critical. Have a plan indicating what will be done and where regarding marketing tactics. Then, decide what days/times you will promote your offer, when it will run, for how long and how often you will promote it.
- BEING VISIBLE. If people don't see your offer, how can they learn about it and want to buy it? How can you show up consistently? Consider outsourcing your social media if you need help managing it. Speak to insight2social, and we will take the stress off your hands!
